WEAR is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advancing research, education, professional expertise, and technical standards that improve product fit, functionality, safety, and sustainability worldwide.

Contributions to WEAR help preserve valuable technical knowledge, develop educational resources, and strengthen professional expertise.

Supporting WEAR's Work

WEAR welcomes voluntary charitable contributions from individuals and organizations who value our mission and wish to support our educational and technical programs.

For those considering ongoing support, we suggest $25 per month or $300 annually, although contributions of any amount are welcome. One-time and recurring donations help provide the resources needed to sustain and expand our work.

Tax-Deductible Contributions: WEAR is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Charitable contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Donor Recognition: WEAR recognizes the generosity of individuals and organizations supporting our mission. With their permission, donors will be acknowledged on the WEAR website. Donors may also choose to remain anonymous.

Data Access: Charitable contributions are entirely voluntary and independent of data purchases or annual data access memberships. Individual datasets and annual unlimited-access memberships are available separately through our online store. Donations do not include paid data access.

• Preserve Our Curated Data Library — Maintain, document, and preserve historical human measurement datasets and technical studies for future research, education, and product development.
• Develop Educational Resources — Create technical guides, instructional materials, workshops, webinars, and learning resources for professionals, researchers, and students.
• Build Professional Certification — Develop competency standards, training curricula, assessment methods, and a professional certification program in product fit, sizing, and evaluation.
• Advance Standards and Best Practices — Support expert participation in standards-development activities, including ASTM, ISO, and other relevant organizations.
• Support Occupational Safety Research — Facilitate technical collaboration to improve protective equipment fit, functionality, safety, and performance.
• Share Knowledge Globally — Support participation in conferences, professional meetings, and international collaborations connecting researchers, industry, and government agencies.
• Sustain Nonprofit Operations — Support essential program administration, technology, communications, travel, and infrastructure necessary to carry out WEAR's mission.
