This data set was preserved and included in the archives of the Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory (AMRL) by Charles Clauser and John McConville. The archive was called the AMRL Data Bank Library and the data were originally stored on 9 mm magnetic tapes and in a standardized format in Fortran Code.
This survey was taken in 1988. The survey was taken in two parts, 906 females were measured during part one and 170 females in part two. This survey was taken to support the women's uniform size evaluation project.
